Little Campers Day Camp

$250/week

Little Campers Day Camp is a 4-day camp designed for all children ages 3-5. This camp is a combination of Adventure Camp and Explore the Senses Camp; children will participate in fun games and outdoor activities that promote independence while engaging in fun, sensory-based activities. Little campers will strengthen the development of fine and gross motor skills, sensory motor skills, visual motor skills, and emotional and energy regulation, and they will participate in activities to organize the sensory system by providing vestibular, proprioceptive, auditory and tactile inputs.

All activities will be age-appropriate, including: sensory painting, water beads, social activities, and more! This camp will be administered in groups of 4 to ensure a 1:2 adult-to-child ratio, and children will break off into groups of 2 for social engagement activities.

Children are encouraged to bring their own snack, but a light snack of applesauce and gluten-free/vegan crackers or muffins will be provided if they forget their own. An in-depth schedule of the week will be provided after registration, and parents and caregivers will be provided with additional activities and information at the end of the camp to further support the development of these skills.

This camp runs from 9:00-12:00 at City Park from Monday, June 28 - Thursday, July 1.

Adventure Camp

$250/week

Adventure Camp is a 4-day camp is designed for all children ages 6-10. Children will participate in fun games and outdoor activities to work on skills that promote independence. While campers gain independence, they will also strengthen the development of fine and gross motor skills, sensory motor skills, visual motor skills, and emotional and energy regulation. These skills are the focus of many occupational therapy sessions; children utilize these skills every day to participate in school, perform daily activities, play and socialize with their peers, and grow into self-sufficient, independent adults.

Development of these skills can result in: maintaining positive behaviors in various environments, improving play and school skills by addressing eye-hand coordination and motor skills, increasing levels of confidence and self-esteem through the development of social-emotional regulation, regulating overactive and underactive sensory systems to improve attention, and more.

Explore the Senses Camp

$250/week

Explore the Senses Camp is a 4-day camp that is specifically designed to meet the needs of neurodivergent children ages 6-10. Children with sensory processing disorder, autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, learning disabilities, developmental coordination disorders, or other difficulties are encouraged to join. Children will participate in sensory-based activities and games to organize the sensory system by providing vestibular, proprioceptive, auditory, and tactile inputs. The integration and regulation of a child’s senses is important for supporting successful engagement in daily and meaningful activities.

Sensory integration can result in improved self-regulation, motor skills and planning, body awareness and positioning, eye-hand coordination, academic skills, social skills, and healthy relationships with others. Difficulties regarding the sensory system vary from person to person. We plan to identify a child’s sensory needs at the start of the camp, then introduce specific sensory inputs to develop a child’s sensory diet. The camp will mainly focus on the use of hands and feet for tactile sensory input, swinging and involving changes in gravity and movement for vestibular sensory input, and providing obstacles and other games that use the whole body for proprioceptive sensory input.

Children are encouraged to bring their own snack, but a light snack of applesauce and gluten-free/vegan crackers or muffins will be provided if they forget their own. An in-depth schedule of the week will be provided after registration, and parents and caregivers will be provided with information regarding a child’s sensory needs at the end of the camp to help further support the development of sensory integration/regulation.
